A Beginniners Guide to Java Integration in Coldfusion
Coldfusion is a java application, running on a J2EE platform, and developers can take advantage of this by extending their applications with core java functionality and third-party java classes. The purpose of this session will be to show how this is done, and to provide some examples for the Coldfusion newbie. Previous experience with Java is not required.
About Rick Root
Rick Root has been developing applications with Coldfusion for 12 years for employers, clients, and the open source community. In addition to working with Coldfusion, he has also worked heavily with Flex, PHP, AJAX in various forms (most recently jQuery), and a variety of database engines. His open source contributions include the popular ImageCFC and CFFM. Rick has been developing enterprise applications for Duke University since 2002, and freelances for a variety of clients, including Classcreator.com. Rick is also an avid fan of the Carolina Hurricanes.
